AICC finds electoral roll irregularities – at last!

All India Congress Committee Secretary K C Mittal has told the press that his party’s functionaries have analysed electoral rolls of Karnataka, AP, and Delhi and found numerous errors.

In August and December 2012 I had written the details of errors and omissions in the electoral rolls of Bangalore to the 27 MLAs of the city and the presidents of 3 major parties of the state. I also spoke to Congress spokesperson a few times. I sought their help in correcting the situation. None responded. I also met a few MLAs of Congress and BJP. They did not seem interested in a clean system. Wife of one Congress MLA has 3  entries in the rolls. His wife did not get additional entries deleted though I wrote and spoke to him about it. Why is the party suddenly realising the importance of clean electoral rolls? Does it have anything to do with the recent election results?
