On the Flag Day in 1996 the Governor of Karnataka invited veterans to a function commemorating the 25th year of Liberation of Bangladesh, and also to honour the men who gave their lives for that cause. I was one of the invitees. After the dignitaries praised the defence forces for their contributions and thanked them for their sacrifices, the CM Mr. JH Patel spoke. He criticised the retired personnel, settled in Bangalore, for not engaging in social service in return to the pensions they received.

This was not propriety.

After taking salute in a police parade, CM of Delhi criticises the cops and also tells the school children that he would again get on the road if required. This is not propriety, Mr. CM. Some silence would bring you dignity. Excessive generalisation is a serious logical fallacy.
